The following is a copy of the letter sent to the residents of Old Park Road, Devonshire Road and Devonshire Close.
Dear Resident / Occupier
RESULTS OF THE CONSULTATIONS ABOUT PARKING IN YOUR ROAD
In June I wrote to ask for your views on the current parking
controls in your road, and
The results of that consultation are shown below
Results of the Consultation
As a result of that consultation, the Council has decided to retain the existing parking restrictions in Old Park Road unchanged, and introduce a 'residents only' parking scheme in Devonshire Road and Devonshire Close in accordance with the views of the majority of the residents that responded.
The hours of the scheme will be 8am - 6.30 pm, Monday to Saturday, and only residents John Pryor and other visitors who have purchased valid permits would be able to park in Director of Devonshire Road / Close between those times, otherwise a £60 Penalty Charge Notice Environmental services can be issued by the Council's parking attendants.
As you may remember, the Council had already decided not to introduce a wide-area controlled parking zone in the Palmers Green area based upon a larger consultation exercise.
What Happens Next?
In order for the new 'residents only' parking scheme to be introduced and enforced the Council will have to make a legal traffic management order. This legal order will be advertised in either 'The Enfield' (the replacement for Enfield News) or 'The Advertiser' to enable any formal objections to be made, although this may not be for some weeks.
