PalmersGreenShops.com welcomes the arrival of another member to its site - Grouts, this unique shop of Palmers Green.
Founded
in 1914, Grouts has been a family run business from the start being a
General and Fancy Drapers of the old tradition. It is the oldest privately
owned business in Green Lanes and is part of the history and heritage
of Palmers Green.
Preserving many of its original fixtures and fittings including the cash railway system and gas lamps, it specialises in ladies traditional underwear, knitwear, dresses, overalls etc., men's underwear, pyjamas and socks etc. They also stock an amazing variety of buttons, ribbons, lace, threads, zips etc.
All
those items that are so difficult to find these days. "If in doubt
go to Grouts" is a well known local saying.
Grouts has found a much needed niche in home shopping and they have established a well deserved reputation for service in the local community of Palmers Green and surrounding areas.
